WOMAN, YOU ARE STRONG

Woman, I am speaking to you as a sister
Don’t you realize that you have endless power?
Why do you behave like a man when you are a woman
In your world there is a great deal of work to be done
WOMAN, YOU ARE STRONG

From time immemorial men always seemed to have power
But in your own domain you are the shadow director
Also care-giver, accountant and cleaner
You are economist, administrator and much more
WOMAN, YOU ARE STRONG

From babies to adults your children you nurture
And even when the cupboard is bare
Magically you make the pennies become more
And so the needs of your family you render
WOMAN, YOU ARE STRONG

Woman, your strength you do not realize
Woman, you are wise so wise
You are like a beacon
Giving light, hope and direction
WOMAN, YOU ARE STRONG

CHERISH THAT WOMAN

MAN,
You need to respect your wife
You need to put her on a pedestal
Even though she has changed over the years
Show her that you care
You need to cherish that woman
Give her love.

CHILDREN,
You may not always agree with your mother
But show some kindness and respect for her
Time and time again after needless pain
You will see that she was right
You need to cherish that woman
Give her love

SISTERS,
You must support the bond of friendship
Show each other love and respect
When one sister has a problem
Others must provide support and allow for venting
You need to cherish that woman
Give her love

WOMAN,You need to respect your husband and
children
Show some support for your sister-friends
Do not give in to immorality
Show some respect for yourself
You need to cherish that woman
Give her love

CRIES TO THE SISTERS

Sisters, there is a huge crisis
Our children are falling into a deep abyss
Do not let them be X’d out
Before we begin to wail and shout

Sisters, we are the caregivers and nurturers
Yet many of our children are becoming gangsters
What are we doing wrong?
We need to turn things around

Sisters, as we commemorate this day
Let us all kneel and pray
Let us ask God to bless our land
And take care of our nation’s children
